Passwords

Required: Student Enrollment (Current/Alum); Student Employment (Current/Alumni); Employee (Current/Retired), Affiliate/Guest (Limited time, Sponsored by Full-Time UTC Employee)

Introduction

UTC passwords are necessary for all students, employees, guests, and other affiliates to access all UTC issued accounts. Passwords are managed through the UT Password system and allow users to access all UTC and UT sites that require authentication. The UT Password management system requires a SSN or a TN Unique ID for account verification.

To access the password management system > open your browser > go to utc.edu/pw > follow the instructions for the corresponding sections to reset the password:

  1. Student and Employees Account Management > Activate your account
  2. Department Account Management > Manage department password
  3. Alumni Account Management > Change your password
  4. Affiliate Account Management > Update your affiliate password

Users, such as international persons, who do not have SSNs should receive a secure email containing their TN Unique ID. If needed, please open a TDX ticket request, ithelp.utc.edu, and assign the request to Angie Russell, Enterprise Systems. To obtain a TN Unique ID by phone, call the UTC Client Services: Help Desk at 423-425-4000. They will need personal information (birth date, address, etc.) to verify and generate an ID.
