Individual Objectives


 


Entering & Submitting Individual Objectives (Faculty Step)

  1. Log-in to Digital Measures
     
  2. Select Workflow at the top of the page.
     
  3. Select the Planning & Performance Cycle task under the "Inbox" heading.
     
  4. Complete the fields provided. You are able to work within this page during multiple sessions, just select Actions at the top of the page then Save before you navigate away. Saving often will ensure your information is not lost.
     
  5. When you feel your objectives are ready for review, select Actions then Send to Department Head for Review at the top of the page.


Department Head Review and Signature

  1. Log-in to Digital Measures
  1. Select Workflow at the top of the page.
  1. Select the Planning & Performance Cycle task under the "Inbox" heading. There will be a task for each faculty member you will be reviewing.
  1. The first section of the page will display the faculty’s completed portion of the workflow, including their yearly individual objectives.
  • If you wish for the faculty member to make revisions or edits select Actions at the top of the page then select Send Back to Previous Step. A new window will pop-up providing you a space to give feedback for edits and to assign a new deadline for revision.
  1. Below the faculty objectives several boxes are provided for the Department Head to comment on the Faculty member's yearly objectives.
  1. Next, select if the goals are appropriate for rank. The "Additional Comments" box below provides you with a space to provide additional comments.
  1. Following this section, read the instructions and type your name in the provided field to digitally sign the document.
  1. Review the page to ensure accuracy. Once you have completed the form, select Actions at the top of the page. Then select Send to Faculty for Signature.


Faculty Member Final Review & Signature

  1. Log-in to Digital Measures
  1. Select Workflow at the top of the page.
  1. Select the EDO Planning task under the Inbox heading.
  1. The top of the page will include your initial submission, scroll down past this section to locate your department head's comments.
  1. Once you have read these comments, you may download them for your records by selecting the Download button at the top of the page.
  1. Type your name in the box provided to digitally sign and acknowledge.
  1. Select Actions at the top of the page.
  1. Select Continue to Final Objectives Step.


Final Objectives Step (Faculty Step)

Your objectives will be available for modification until mid October.  Faculty that wish to modify their objectives:

  1. Go to your Workflow Task List (click here for a direct link)
  2. Open the workflow task that is currently in the task "Final Objective Step"
  3. Select Actions at the top of the screen
  4. Select Continue to Modify Objectives

You will be brought back to your Digital Measures workflow inbox and have a new task labeled "Modify Objectives." This will add additional boxes to the bottom of the form to modify your objectives.


If you do not need to modify your objectives, no action is needed from you. After mid October, you will automatically move to the Individual Performance Reporting phase of the EDO process which is due the first Monday in March of that cycle. In the interim, we strongly suggest insuring your Curriculum Vitae information is current and accurate on your "Activities" screens located in Digital Measures.

Individual Performance Reporting


Individual Performance Report (Faculty Step)

  1. Log-in to Digital Measures
  1. Select Workflow at the top of the page.
  1. Select the EDO Performance task under the Inbox heading.
  1. Review your individual objectives by clicking on the PDF icon
  1. Click on the PDF for the following three categories: Instructional and Advisement Activities; Research, Scholarly, and Creative Activities; and Professional Service Activities
  • To update the PDF (see video guide here):
    • Click the Actions button located at the top of this screen
    • Select Save Draft.
    • Select the Activities tab to navigate to the section you wish to update.
    • After updating, save your work and return to this screen by clicking on the Workflow tab.
    • Click "refresh report."
  1. Use the boxes provided under each category to provide additional support if needed
  1. Select Actions at the top of the screen
  1. Select Submit to Department Head for Review - Individual Evaluation

 


Individual Evaluation (Department Head Step)

  1. Log-in to Digital Measures
     
  2. Select Workflow at the top of the page.
     
  3. Select the EDO Performance task under the "Inbox" heading.
     
  4. Review the faculty's objectives by clicking on the first PDF icon on the page
     
  5. Review the faculty's individual performance report by selecting the PDF icons in each of the categories provided. Faculty may have also provided additional support for each category below each PDF report
     
  6. Scroll down to the Individual Evaluation Form portion of the screen
     
  7. Once you have completed this review, select Actions at the top of the screen
     
  8. Select Submit to Faculty Member for Signature

 

Faculty Member for Signature (Faculty Step)

  1. Log-in to Digital Measures
     
  2. Select Workflow at the top of the page.
     
  3. Select the EDO Performance task under the "Inbox" heading.
     
  4. Review your department head's completed "Individual Evaluation Form"
     
  5. Locate the "Faculty Member Signature" portion of the form by scrolling to the bottom of the page
     
  6. Digitally sign the form by typing your name in the box provided
     
  7. Select Actions at the top of the screen
     
  8. Select Submit to Department Head for Signature

 

Department Head Signature (Department Head Step)

  1. Log-in to Digital Measures
     
  2. Select Workflow at the top of the page.
     
  3. Select the EDO Performance task under the "Inbox" heading.
     
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the form
     
  5. Digitally sign the form by typing your name in the box provided
     
  6. Select Actions at the top of the screen
     
  7. You will need to choose one of two paths for the form:
  • Submit to Dean (for Meets Expectations or Lower)"
     
  • Select Here to Nominate for 'Exceeds' Recommendation
    • Note: if you select "Nominate for 'Exceeds' Recommendation," you will receive the exceed recommendation form in your inbox instantly.

 

Nomination for Exceeds (Department Head Step)

Note: For this step to initiate, you would have had to selected "Select Here to Nominate for 'Exceeds' Recommendation" described in the step above.

  1. Select the EDO Performance task under the "Inbox" heading labeled "Nominate for 'Exceeds' Recommendation."
  1. Scroll to the bottom of the form
  1. Complete the "Exceeds Expectations for Rank Recommendation" form
  1. Select Actions at the top of the screen
  1. Select Submit for Dean for Exceeds Response

 

Dean Approval or Denial of Recommendation for Exceeds (Dean Step)

  1. Log-in to Digital Measures
     
  2. Select Workflow at the top of the page.
     
  3. Select the EDO Performance task under the Inbox heading.
     
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the form
     
  5. Complete the response fields for the exceeds recommendation
     
  6. Select Actions at the top of the screen
     
  7. Select Notification to Department Head Regarding Exceeds Decision

 

Department Head Acknowledges Decision (Department Head Step)

  1. Log-in to Digital Measures
     
  2. Select Workflow at the top of the page.
     
  3. Select the EDO Performance task under the Inbox heading.
     
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the form
     
  5. Digitally sign the form by typing your name in the box provided
     
  6. Select Actions at the top of the screen
     
  7. Select Submit to Academic Affairs Administrator

 

Dean Signs for Meets or Lower (Dean Step)

  1. Log-in to Digital Measures
     
  2. Select Workflow at the top of the page.
     
  3. Select the EDO Performance task under the "Inbox" heading.
     
  4. Review the form in its entirety
     
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the form
     
  6. Digitally sign the form by typing your name in the box provided
     
  7. Select Actions at the top of the screen
     
  8. Select Submit Form to Academic Affairs Administrator
