4. Download essential files needed during Oct 8-10 migration weekend

If during the weekend of October 8th - 10th, you will require access to specific files within your email account, (Outlook), Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint, you may want to download them to your local hard drive or external USB device for easy access during the migration weekend.

The following instructions provided by Microsoft will show you how:

Microsoft OneDrive

Windows or Mac via Browser

Apple IOS

Google Android

Microsoft Outlook

To save the attachment, choose the drop-down arrow to the right of the attachment icon to open the attachment menu.

Choose Save As to save one attachment to your computer or cloud storage location. Choose Save All Attachments to save all attachments from a single message. By default, all of your attachments will be saved in your Documents folder but you can choose a different location each time you save attachments.

You can also save an attachment by dragging and dropping the attachment from your email message to your desktop. When dragging and dropping an attachment stored in the cloud, a local copy of the attachment will be downloaded and saved for you.

Microsoft Teams

From Teams on the desktop or web, you can download any file you see in Teams, whether it’s on a channel’s Files tab, sent in a message, or stored in a OneDrive folder.

  • Select More options More options button next to the file name and then Download.

Files you download from Teams will show up in your device's Downloads folder. (Currently, the download location can't be changed.)
