Log into Departmental Shared Mailboxes

If at any point you need assistance, please fill out the Office 365 Migration Issue Form or contact the UTC Help Desk at (423) 425-4000.

Special Note

This article requires you to have access to a departmental shared mailbox. If you do not have the appropriate access, please have your supervisor submit an IT request.

Directions (Outlook Web App)

  1. Log into Microsoft Office 365 (Instructions)
  2. In the top-left corner of your browser, click the waffle icon to open the App launcher
  3. Select ‘Outlook’
  4. In the top-right corner of your browser, click your profile picture of initials
  5. Select ‘Open another mailbox’
  6. Under the ‘Open another mailbox’ field, enter the shared mailbox account
  7. Select ‘Open’

If you do not know the shared mailbox account, ask your supervisor or contact IT at (423) 425-4000.

Directions (Outlook Desktop App)

  1. Open the Outlook desktop application
  2. In the bottom-left corner of the desktop application, look for your shared mailbox accounts
  3. CLICK on the arrow to the left to expand and check for mail.
