Step One: Directions (on device):
Note: If you are setting up a brand new TV/Roku device for the first time, you may need to connect it to a network other than UTC’s for it to complete its out-of-the-box setup and updates. Phone hotspots are common solutions, or you may need to bring the device to our Solution Center in the Maclellan Gym room 201 for further assistance.

Press 'Home' on your remote

Select 'Settings'

Select 'Network'

Select 'Set up connection'

Select 'Wireless'

Select 'UTC' (Do NOT use the "UTC Secure" network. It will not work)

Locate the MAC Address (sometimes called Wi-Fi Address, Physical Address, or Internet Address). It is always 12 characters long and can contain numbers from 0-9 and letters A-F. It is most commonly in the Settings or Network Settings menu. It will look something like: A1:B2:34:56:C7:D8
Step Two: Directions (on another device - computer/phone)
- Visit https://portal.utc.edu/registration/ on another device (phone or computer) connected to the UTC network and follow the instructions to enter the MAC address.

Select 'Yes' if you are a UTC student, faculty, staff, or affiliate

Select 'Media Player'

Under the 'MAC address' field, enter the device's MAC address

Under the 'UTC ID' field, enter your UTC ID

Under the 'Password' field, enter your UTC password

Select the device type from the dropdown box

Select 'Submit'
Troubleshooting
“I do not know my MAC address”
- Press the Home button home button on Roku remote on your Roku remote
- Scroll up or down and select Settings
- Select System, followed by About
- You should see the 'Ethernet MAC Address' (wired) and 'Wireless MAC Address' (wireless)
