Connecting Windows 11 Devices to UTC-Secure

When on-campus and not connected to wired Internet connection, UTC faculty and staff should connect to UTC-Secure Wi-Fi for enhanced network security.  This is being set as the default connection on all new UTC Windows 11 devices.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Open Network Settings
   • In the bottom-right corner of the taskbar, click the network icon to open the network settings pane.

2. Select “UTC-Secure”
   • From the list of available Wi-Fi networks, select UTC-Secure.

   • Be sure to check the box for “Connect automatically”.

3. Enter Your Credentials
   • When prompted, do not check the box for “Use my Windows user account.”
   • 
   • Instead, enter:
     • Username: Your UTCID
     • Password: Your UTC password
   • Click OK to proceed.

4. Accept the Network Certificate
   • If a prompt appears regarding a network certificate.
   • Click OK or Connect to accept and continue.

Important Notes

• UTC-Secure is the preferred wireless network for faculty and staff devices.
• This network ensures additional security and encryption while connected to the UTC wireless environment.

You should now be connected to UTC-Secure.
