Special Note
This article is in reference to shared drives hosted on premise for files.CHA, any shared drives in Sharepoint will be accessed via the Sharepoint link. To access the Shared Drive while off campus, you must connect through the UTC VPN: Connect Your Windows Computer to the UTC VPN To request access to a departmental shared drive, please have your supervisor submit a ticket to IT.
Directions
1. Open File Explorer
2. Right click "This PC" in the left sidebar
3. Select "Map Network Drive"
4. Enter "\\files.cha.utc.edu\Department" (Replace Department with desired department name)
5. Check "Connect using different credentials" and "Reconnect at sign-in"
6 .Enter "CHA\utcid" and your UTC password. Make sure to remember the credentials as well.
