On January 6, 2025, DASH will replace IRIS in the UT system to house and streamline various business processes on campus.
OGL (Oracle Guided Learning) is a useful tool in DASH that provides interactive visual guides to users for various processes.
This article aims to provide a basic overview of how to navigate OGL. Use the links below for quick navigation:
Getting Started
- Navigate to the DASH home screen. The OGL widget appears as a small orange widget on the screen.
- You can move the widget to different places on the screen. Locate the dotted square on the OGL widget. Click, hold, and drag it to move it around.
- Click on the exclamation icon on the OGL widget to activate it.
- Type in the search bar to search for the guide you need. Alternatively, you can click on the category headers below to browse and find the guide you need.
How to Activate an Interactive Guide
An interactive guide has pop-up windows with instructions for each step of a process. Follow the steps below to activate the interactive guide.
- Follow the instructions in the “Getting Started” section to find the guide you need. Then click on its name to activate the interactive guide.
- You should now see a pop-up window for the guide. Click Next to follow the guide or click Close to end the guide.
How to Find a Step Guide
A step guide provides step-by-step instructions with or without screenshots in a document-style layout. Follow the steps below to find the step guide.
- Follow the instructions in the “Getting Started” section to find the guide you need. Then click on the three dots on the right side of the guide’s name.
- Select Step Guide from the dropdown list.
- You should see the guide pop up on the left side of the window. Select the Show Screenshots checkbox to view the screenshots for each step.
- Click the Unpin Icon to open the guide in a different window. Click Exit to end the guide.
