DASH Step: How to Update and Manage Your Pay and Tax Information

On January 6, 2025, DASH will replace IRIS in the UT system to house and streamline various business processes on campus.

Employees will now use DASH for employee self-service activities, such as entering, changing, and managing their financial and tax information.
This article aims to provide instructions for employees on financial and tax information.

Overview of the Pay Tab

The Pay tab is located on the home page under the Me tab, by clicking the Home Icon 

 

The Pay tab is denoted by this symbol:  
 


The Pay widget can be found here:  


Then click on the Pay widget to be brought here:

Updating Document Delivery Method (For W-2 and Pay Statement)

To Navigate to The Document Delivery method please refer to the Overview of Pay Tab.

To update your delivery preferences, click on the Document Delivery Preferences tab. Then depending on which document you would like to edit, click on the Pencil Icon to make any necessary changes. Once you are finished, click Save to complete.

View and Download Payslips

To Navigate to My Payslips please refer to the Overview of Pay Tab.
  
To view and download payslips click on the My Payslips tab to view your pay statement.

 
To download your pay statement, click on the export button to download your pay statement. You can also view your earnings, deductions, net pay distribution, and see a preview of your payslip through the different tabs offered. 

Change and View Bank Accounts/Payment Methods

To Navigate to Payment Methods please refer to the Overview of Pay Tab.

To view Bank Accounts associated with your account or to change a payment method select Payment Method.
Note: Users will need to set up a payment method if not done so already 
You can:
-    Edit current Bank Account
-    Edit Current Payment Method
-    Add Bank Account
-    Add Payment Method

To Edit Current Bank Account/Payment Method

Note: Bank Accounts and Payment Methods are different from each other.

  • Bank Accounts – How you will receive your paycheck
  • Payment Method – How you will receive refunds and make payments 

To Navigate to Payment Methods please refer to the Overview of Pay Tab.
 
To edit your current account, click on the Pencil Icon under Bank account and then make the necessary changes. Click Save once complete.


 
To edit your current payment method, click on the Pencil Icon under Payment Method and then make the necessary changes. Click Save once complete.

To Add Bank Account/Payment Method

Note: To add a new payment method from a different bank account you must add the new bank account first. 
To Navigate to Payment Methods please refer to the Overview of Pay Tab.
To add a bank account, click the add button on the Bank Account tab and input the correct information. To change which account is active, click on the pencil Icon for the appropriate bank account and enable it to be active. Click Save once complete.


 

To add a payment method, click on the add button on the My Payment Method tab and input the correct information. Make sure the bank account is set up before setting up a new payment method. Click Save once complete.

 

View, Print, and Download Year-End Documents

To Navigate to Year-End Documents please refer to the Overview of Pay Tab.
  
To view year-end documents, click on the Year-End Documents and select View under Select Period to filter for the documents you wish to find under a certain date or over the past few years.

 

View and Update Tax Withholding

To Navigate to Tax Withholding please refer to the Overview of Pay Tab.

To view and update Tax Withholding, click on the Tax Withholding tab, then click on the Pencil Icon under Federal Taxes

Note: Ensure you select the Federal Taxes that is still Ongoing to update your current Tax Withholding.

Then enter the correct information to update your tax withholding. After filling out the correct information click Submit in the upper right-hand corner.
