Department Head & School Director Guide: Supporting the Yearly Objective Process

Introduction

Department Heads and School Directors have the ability to review the Yearly Objective entries of all faculty members within their department or school. This can be done either through viewing the Faculty's activities via "Manage Data" or by running the Summary of Faculty Yearly Objectives report in Digital Measures. This article outlines how to run this latter report to assist Heads/Directors as they support their faculty members entering objectives before the March 31st deadline each year.

Tracking Objectives in Digital Measures

A self-service report is available to Deans, Directors, and Heads which pulls a list of their faculty members. The report has two parts: a summary table and a larger table showing all entered objectives. The summary table shows all faculty members, if they have entered any objectives into Digital Measures, and the dates of entry and revision of any objectives. The larger table only lists a faculty member if they have entered objectives, and it shows what objectives they have entered.

With this report, one can have a record of who entered objectives into Digital Measures and when. A Dean, Director, or Head at any time can pull this reports to keep up with who is current.

We recommend that each Head/Director pull a report for the faculty members in their unit and follow up with each faculty member who lacks completed objectives.
