Reset Avaya Password

  • Your deskphone and your mobile app may log out your extension 

  • To log back in, to either, the username will be your four-digit extension ex. 1234 and your password will be the one you receive in the following encrypted email. If you wish to change your password from the one we provide, directions are below. 

 

Steps to change your password: 

  1. Navigate to https://myphonepassword.utc.edu while on campus or connected to the VPN 

  1. For assistance with any VPN related issues, please contact the Helpdesk

  1. Phone: (423) 425-4000 

  1. Chat: https://support.utc.edu 

  1. Enter your 4 digit extension followed by “@voip.utc.edu”. Example Below:

  1. Enter the six-digit password in the password field and press “Login” 

  1. Make sure the Profile Type is set to “SIP” 

  1. Enter the current password, the one received in the encrypted email, in the “Current Password” field 

  1. Create a six-digit (or longer, up to 24 digits) password and type it into the “New Password” and “Confirm New Password” fields.  

  1. Press Submit 

  1. You will receive an encrypted confirmation email from VOIPServices@utc.edu with the password you created 

  1. Please note that you will receive an error message if you create a password that is shorter than six digits or if you create a password that contains letters and/or symbols. 

 

If you forget your password, you can have it reset by submitting a ticket to helpdesk: 

VOIPServices@utc.edu will send you a new, randomly generated password in an encrypted email.
