HPC Cluster Node Types and Stats

The info listed below details the different types of machines available in the MocsHPC cluster.  These are not partition listings.  Available partitions are listed here.


epyc

  • Total of 29 nodes
    • epyc[00-15]
      • Each node has two EPYC 7662 64 core processor (total 2,048 cores)
      • Each node has 512GB of RAM
      • Each node has two NVIDIA A100 80GB GPUs
    • epyc[16-17]
      • Each node has two EPYC 7662 64 core processor (total 256 cores)
      • Each node has 512GB of RAM
    • epyc[18-28]
      • Each node has two EPYC 7742 64 core processor (total 1,408 cores)
      • Each node has 512GB of RAM
  • Total core count across all nodes: 3,712

ts

  • Total of 32 nodes - ts[01-32]
  • Each node has two Intel Xeon E5-2680 14 core processor (total 896 cores)
  • Each node has 128GB of RAM
  • Each node has one NVIDIA Tesla P100 16GB GPU

firefly

  • Total of 4 nodes - firefly[00-03]
  • Each node has two Intel Xeon Gold 6148 20 core / 40 thread processor (total 160 cores / 320 threads)
  • Each node has 192GB of RAM
  • Each node has four NVIDIA Tesla V100 32GB GPUs

lookout

  • Total of 6 nodes
    • lookout[00-03]
      • Each node has two PowerPC POWER9 CPU at 20 cores / 80 threads (total 160 cores / 640 threads)
      • Each node has 256GB of RAM
      • Each node has four NVIDIA Tesla V100 16GB GPUs (currently unusable due to NVIDIA dropping power pc support in drivers)

      • Each node has two PowerPC POWER9 CPU at 20 cores / 80 threads (total 160 cores / 640 threads)
