Connect your Linux device to the UTC-Secure network

Note: Please be sure to connect your device to the UTC wireless network and register it before trying to connect to UTC Secure.

Directions

  1. Connect to the ‘UTC’ network

  2. Open your preferred web browser to: https://cloudpath.netops.utc.edu/

  3. Select ‘Continue

  4. Depending on distribution there are different steps to use.

    • The page will try to guess which one you're using and either present an application to download or step by step instructions.

    • If the page guesses incorrectly, there is a link at the bottom called "Show all operating systems".  Click that and you can pick the correct instructions.

    • If your operating system is not officially supported by cloudpath, you can use the "Other operating systems" option to get the manual steps

  5. If you downloaded an application to run, go ahead and run that.

  6. If you are using the manual steps, you will only need to download the certificate labeled "Network Services CA".

  7. For your username, enter your UTC ID

  8. For your password, enter your UTC password

  9. If using the downloaded app, once the configuration is done it should disconnect you from the UTC wifi and reconnect you to the UTC-Secure wifi.

  10. If you are using the manual steps, you will have to reconnect to UTC-Secure manually.  It is advised to forget the UTC wifi network once UTC-Secure is working.
