Citrix Troubleshooting Guide

I can’t sign in to apps.utk.edu.

If your UTC ID and password do not work, check to make sure your NETID matches your UTC ID.

  1. Visit https://directory.utk.edu/.
     
  2. Enter your first and last name in the search bar.
     
  3. When you see your name click on it and look for the NetID field in the upper righthand corner of the box.
     

I confirmed my NetID but am still unable to sign in.

If you are still unable to sign in, you will need to change your password through UTK’s systems.

  1. Visit https://ds.utk.edu/passwords/login.asp?redirect=%2Fpasswords%2Fpassword%2Easp.
     
  2. Enter your confirmed NetID and UTC password.
     
  3. Click Continue at the bottom of the page.
     
  4. Enter your new password.


Changing your password through UTK will also change your password for UTC.
 

How do I work on a file that is currently saved to my device?

You can upload files on your device to the Citrix Receiver.
 
  1. Hover over the three lines at the top of the screen then click it.
     
  2. Select the upload icon.
     
  3. Highlight the file you want to upload then click Choose.
     
  4. Select which folder you want the file to be saved on.
     
  5. Open the file within the application you are using.
     

How do I save a file directly to my device?

You can save your file as a download from your browser.

  1. When you are finished working, select the option to save the file within the application you are using.
     
  2. When you are prompted to choose the folder you want to save the file to, select This PC.
  • Some applications may require you to select Browse to see more options.
  • Scroll down and select Save To My Device.
  • The file will then be saved as a download.
