Spam/Phishing Email Reporting

Requests must be completed by the person targeted by the phishing email. Once submitted, the Information Security Office will respond with next steps.

 

Phishing emails are illegitimate emails that appear to come from a trusted source. such as a co-worker, supervisor, financial institution, or delivery service. Phishing emails are sent in an attempt to gain more information about, your department, you, or your UTC account.. The IT Security team handles reports of phishing incidents.

 

Reporting

  • Select the 'Request Service' button.
  • Call the Help Desk at 423.425.4000.
  • Forward the phishing email to Security@utc.edu.
  • Check phishbowl.utc.edu to see if the phishing email you received has been reported by others.
