Connect Your Android Device to the UTC Network

Directions

1. Open ‘Settings’

2. Select ‘Wi-Fi’

3. Select the 'UTC’ network

4. Turn off 'Device MAC Randomization', Click Here for assistance

5. Open your preferred web browser to: https://portal.utc.edu/registration/

6. Select 'Yes' if you are a UTC student, faculty, staff, or affiliate

7. Select 'Computer/Phone'

8. Under the ‘MAC Address’ field, enter the device's MAC address (ex. AA:11:A1:FF:99:F9)

• The UTC network may automatically detect your device’s MAC address

6. Under the ‘UTC ID’ field, enter your UTC ID

7. Under the ‘Password’ field, enter your UTC password

8. Select ‘Register'

Troubleshooting

“I do not know my MAC address”

1. Open ‘Settings’
    
2. Select 'About Phone'
    
3. Select 'Status'
    
4. Locate 'Wi-Fi MAC address'

“I am unable to access the UTC portal page”

1. Open ‘Settings’
    
2. Select ‘Cellular Data’

• ‘Cellular Data’ might be named ‘Data Usage’ or ‘Mobile Data’

3. Turn Cellular Data off
    
4. Attempt the directions again

“It says my MAC address is not valid”

1. Open ‘Settings’
    
2. Select 'Network'

• 'Network' might be named 'Connections'

3. Select the gear icon for the UTC network
    
4. Switch the 'MAC address type' from 'Randomized MAC' to 'Phone MAC'
    
5. Reload the web page and try again
