Get Started with IT: Resources for Employees

The following list will help you finalize your setup and get access to any additional campus resources you may need. If you haven't already, be sure to review the Getting Started Checklist first, then come back here to round out your setup.

Additional Campus Resources

Download Software

  • Need a piece of software on your UTC-issued device? Check out our Software for Employees article to learn how to access or request university-provided software from your computer.

Software Index

  • The Software Index lists common software that UTC supports, making it a great place to grab whatever software you may need. Collaborate with you supervisor to identify all software and systems needed to successfully complete the responsibilities of your position.

IT Status Page

Security

  • Find helpful resources related to security, such as how to report Spam Email and Suspected Phishing Attempts in the IT Knowledge Base. Check phishbowl.utc.edu for phishing emails. Forward phishing emails to security@utc.edu.

Printing

  • There are several ways to print at UTC, each department has an employee account to be used with the large MocsPrint printers located around campus, while some prefer to use departmental printers in-office. Please verify with your supervisor what your department uses to print, then Submit a Request to be added to your department's print group, or Request Assistance in adding your department's printer to your device.

Storage and Collaboration

  • Do you need to work on documents, spreadsheets and presentations with your team? Storage options for departments and teams can be found here. If you need to send files securely, use the Vault: Secure File Transfer service provided through UT.
