Digital Accessibility Changes: On April 24, 2024, the U.S. Department of Justice finalized a new digital accessibility rule, requiring all state and local government websites and mobile apps to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA at https://www.ada.gov/resources/2024-03-08-web-ru... For the UT System, this means any employee (not just web content editors) with access to any digital assets of UTC (websites, PDFs, third-party applications, Word and InDesign documents, video captioning) that are publicly available must be in full compliance by April 24, 2026.
